If you read my previous entry, you know that cars are not my thing. I’m all for any girl who wants to get under the hood and repair her own car, but I’ll infiltrate a “man’s” field with a dovetail saw and combination square over an oil can and spark plugs any day. But I had to share this inspiring story: a 12-year-old girl bought an old car with her baby-sitting money and is restoring it to completion by her 16th birthday. That’s a lot of impressive ambition and determined foresight for a junior higher. This calls for a “you go, girl!”
